Filtering Configuration Files and Keywords

The Config File Manager contains several options for filtering, hiding, and grouping keywords in the grid.

Filter Files

Use the File Filter to limit the configuration files being viewed and the keywords presented in the gird.

Select or clear the check boxes in each list: Domain, Site, Service Type, and Server. Any combination of these options can be used.

Click Apply filter to update the grid with the selected criteria.

By default, all keywords are grouped by category, and collapsed under each category heading, and disabled keywords are hidden.

Hide and Group Keywords

You can further filter keywords by using the check boxes under the grid.

Click Hide matching keywords to hide all keywords with matching values.

Click Hide disabled keywords to hide all the rows where the keyword is disabled for every service.

Click Group by category (or Ctrl+G to toggle) to group like keywords under the same heading.

Column and Cell Notes

Column	Description
Keyword	All keywords in all retrieved service configuration files. Note: If the Config File Manager loads a service configuration file that contains the same keyword enabled multiple times, the utility will display the first instance of the keyword and its value, and all other instances will be disabled. When saving the service configuration file, the duplicate keywords will be automatically disabled, although the disabling will not be appear as a change in the UI or in the final validation screen.
Category	The keyword category.
Summary	The Summary column displays information about the keywords in the row. All Match (x) All Unique (y) All Disabled (y) x/y Unique where x is the number of unique values and y is the total number of services. Both <Disabled> and <N/A> are considered unique values.
Special Action Buttons	Certain keywords support special action. A chooser button is available in this column to allow special action to be taken for each of these keywords. Click on each Special Action button to open the configuration dialog box. [Local]Service.Site or [Domain]Service.Site Cells	Each cell shows one of the following options: The value of the keyword for the respective service (for example, string, number, SITE.Service, path, etc.) A drop-down menu displaying options, or check boxes and options for keywords that support multiple flags <Disabled> if the keyword is disabled <N/A> if the keyword does not apply to the given service type

Description

Keyword

All keywords in all retrieved service configuration files.

<N/A> if the keyword does not apply to the given service type
